Birthday Slide (Video)

Insert a slide.
Title: People Born on [your birth month & day]
List 3 to 6 people who share that birthday from www.famousbirthdays.com.
Add any people you know who share your birthday.
Include what year each person was born.
Do a Google Image search for each person. Copy and paste the pictures of each person on the slide, next to their name.
Do all the things you did to the other slides: background, title color/size/style, text color/size, clipart, autoshape, wordart, transition, etc.
Put this slide between the Career slide and the Thank You slide.

Wishes Slide

Insert a slide.
You have been granted three wishes! Wish for anything except money, objects/things for yourself or more wishes.
Write a complete sentence for each wish, for example, "I wish no animal ever suffered because of humans."
Word each wish carefully so we know exactly what you mean.
Include the reason for each wish.
Do all the things you did to the other slides: background, title color/size/style, text color/size, clipart, autoshape, wordart, transition
Put this slide between the Birthday slide and the Thank You slide.

My Day Circle Graph Slide (Video)

Create a circle chart that shows how you spend your time during a normal week day.

Include slices for School, Sleep, and at least three other catagories.

When it is all done, it should look something like this...

Double Check

Does each slide have...

What it is supposed to have? (Me 1)
One Clip Art?
One AutoShape?
One WordArt?
One Picture?
Background color?
Titles with different font, color and size?
Text with different color and size?
Easy to read text?

Final Check

Change to Slide Sorter view with 100% zoom. This is where the project will be corrected.
Check that all words can be easily read in this view. Fix sizes, styles, colors if necessary.
Check that all objects are visible in this view, ex. clip art, AutoShapes, WordArt, word art, pictures etc.
Press F5 and run your slideshow. Check for anything not automatically animated. Check for any other problems.
Save it in Slide Sorter view with 100% zoom.
Hand it in. [File-> Save As->Classes->Wissner->HandIn-> [your class]-> (check the filename)-> Save]

STOP!!! Politely ask your teacher to look it over.

Animation (Video)

Animate ALL objects on EVERY slide.

[ Right-click an object-> Custom Animation-> Add Effect-> Entrance-> More Effects-> (Choose an Effect)-> OK]

Make sure Start = With Previous
Make sure Speed = Very Fast or Fast.
Only use Entrance effects.
Make sure all objects are on the slide, readable and don't overlap after the animation finishes.

Optional Extras

Record one voice greeting and insert it on your first slide. Record "Hi, my name is [first name, last name]". [ Insert-> Movies and Sound-> Sound From File-> Classes-> Wissner-> HandOut-> Media-> Sounds ]
Insert music from a CD (the CD must be in computer) [ Insert-> Movies and Sounds-> Play CD Audio Track ]
Record a few words for another slide and insert it (1 to 3). Example: for the last slide a person could record "Thanks for Listening!".
Record a narration for all your slides.
Record a screencast of your presentation.
Take the presentation home via email, diskette, memory card, or CD.
Come up with other good ideas and get approval from your teacher.

SCORING

Each of the 12 slides will be scored as follows. Each slide is worth 10 points.

Correct typing/text (see Me1) - 4 points
WordArt (Me2) - 1 point
AutoShape (Me2) - 1 point
ClipArt (Me2) - 1 point
Colors & Font Style (Me2) - 1 point
Mugshot or Scanned Picture (Me2) - 1 point
Transition [and possibly animation] (Me2 & Me3) - 1 point

Points per Slide: 10

Slides in Presentation: 12

Total Points for Presentation: 120

Scanning - 8 pictures x 5 points each = 40 points

Total Points: 160
