A good web site about ice fishing and a second site about ice fishing

Ice fishing is a very exiting sport but it also takes lots of patience’s .Some day you might limit out and others you may not even get a bite. Ice fishing can be very different from summer fishing. The fish in winter act different then in the summer. There is a big verity of fish you can catch but you often time catch lots of pan fish. But there are two sides of fishing one is fishing for pan fish and one is going for the big lurkers .ice fishing equipment can be very cheep if u look in the right places.

When you are ice fishing there is some equipment that is necessary and some that is optional. The first thing u are going to need is a pole, you can find poles pretty cheep running around $10-$30.The second thing u are going to need is some sort of lure some of the most popular ones are called tear drops of spiders. The third thing you are going to need is some sort of ice line preferably 2-6 lb test. You are also going to need an ice auger, you can find these in a verity of sizes but 6in is standard. And the last thing you are going to need is some sort of bait most anglers prefer wax worms, spikes, or wigglers.

When you are ice fishing you are most likely going to catch a verity of fish. Some of the fish you might catch are a blue gill, crappie, bass, pearch, sunfish, or rock bass. All those fish I just listed are conceder pan fish. They call them pan fish because they can fit in a pan easily.

When you are going for the big game fish thorough the ice you are going to need some equipment. The first thing you are going to need is a tip up. Tip ups come in a verity of styles but the one most anglers use is the polar tip up. A tip up is a  device u lay over your hole and it has a spool  with line on it  when you get a bit it triggers a flag  so u can go and get the fish. You are going to need a heavy test breaded line preferably 25- 30 test. On the end you are going to need a wire leader and a trouble hook. The most common bait for tip ups is a shiner minnow.

Now that you know all that u need to know to go ice fishing you can go out and try out your skills. But the first thing u need to check if the ice is safe be for you get on. But the key part to fishing is to stay safe have fun and share the sport with others. All in all you now know every thing u need to know to have a fun day out on the ice.
